Ascend to Zero

Ascend to ZERO is a roguelike where you freeze time to fight upward through levels. Your character can halt everything mid-action—pause enemy attacks, reposition, strike from better angles—but the freeze duration is limited. Combat revolves around timing these stops strategically rather than reacting in real-time. The setting: far-future Earth after an alien invasion nearly wiped out humanity. You're a "Chrono Child" sent forward in a time capsule, using your ability to jump back and alter past events. Each successful change brings someone you lost back to life in the present. It's a vertical climb with time as both weapon and constraint, built around short bursts of frozen combat and the pressure of a ticking clock.
