Assassin's Creed Shadows

Dual-protagonist action game set in late Sengoku period Japan. You alternate between Naoe, a shinobi from Iga Province, and Yasuke, an African samurai. Each character handles differently—stealth-focused assassinations versus direct combat—and you switch between them as their stories intersect. The open world spans feudal Japan during this period of upheaval. You can recruit allies into a shinobi network, customize a personal hideout, and tackle missions using either character's toolkit. The structure lets you approach objectives through infiltration or confrontation depending on who you control. If you want flexibility in how you solve problems rather than one prescribed path, the two-character system supports that.
