Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II
Hack-and-slash action RPG using D&D 3rd Edition rules. You pick from five character types and fight through four acts of real-time combat from an overhead view. Each character levels up differently, unlocking unique feats and abilities as you gain experience. A crafting system lets you forge magical gear from materials you find. Play solo or with a second player locally—both heroes share the screen but have distinct powers. Gold from kills and quests buys equipment from merchants, or you can hunt for loot in hidden areas. The game includes hundreds of items: weapons, armor, potions, scrolls, wands. A branching story lets you choose your next destination rather than following a single path. Set in Baldur's Gate and the surrounding Forgotten Realms, picking up after the first game's cliffhanger.
