Party-based RPG using AD&D rules where you control up to six characters through isometric environments, pausing real-time combat to issue orders. You start imprisoned by an elven mage, escape to the city of Athkatla, and must raise money to rescue a companion before confronting your captor. Three new classes (sorcerer, monk, barbarian) join the original roster, with specializations that let a paladin become a dragon slayer or inquisitor. Weapon proficiencies split into granular choices—long swords, katanas, scimitars each trained separately. Sixteen possible companions have their own motivations that sometimes clash, and you can romance certain party members through dialogue choices. The world's larger than the first game, traveled by selecting map locations rather than crossing wilderness. Class-specific quests and moral decisions shape your path through Athkatla and beyond.
