Beach-Head
Beach-Head is an arcade shooter where you assault a dictator's fortified coastline through multiple combat phases. You control anti-aircraft guns to shoot down incoming bombers, then man deck cannons to sink enemy patrol boats closing in on your fleet. Once you reach shore, you command a tank pushing through minefields and hostile fire toward the dictator's bunker. Each phase uses different weapons and threats—mistiming shots or letting enemies through ends your run. The 1983 release cycles through these three distinct stages repeatedly with rising difficulty. Success requires quick reflexes and learning enemy patterns rather than strategic depth. If you want straightforward shoot-what-moves gameplay that tests reaction time over tactics, this delivers exactly that.
