First-person shooter continuing the conflict between U.S. forces and Russian ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov's network. You alternate between Delta Force operative Frost fighting through a Russian invasion of Manhattan and Captain Price hunting Makarov across global hotspots. Missions include destroying a jamming tower atop the Stock Exchange, commandeering a Russian submarine with SEAL support, and tracking Makarov after he kidnaps Russia's president mid-flight to access nuclear codes. Combat mixes urban warfare through New York's streets with spec-ops raids in India and Europe. The campaign picks up immediately after Modern Warfare 2's ending, following Price and ally Yuri as they pursue Makarov while conventional forces battle to push Russian troops off American soil. Multiplayer returns with progression systems and map-based modes.
