Cannon Fodder
Cannon Fodder is a military action game with point-and-click strategy controls. You direct squads of up to five soldiers through 72 levels across jungles, deserts, and snow. Each soldier dies in one hit, so you'll split squads, position carefully, and manage limited grenades and rockets to destroy buildings and vehicles while machine guns handle infantry. Missions involve destroying enemy installations, navigating rivers that slow movement, dodging mines, and grabbing ammo crates—or shooting them for explosive shortcuts. The tone mixes dark humor with an anti-war stance that sparked controversy on release. Settings include unique terrain like quicksand and igloos. Enemy strength escalates as you progress, turning early firepower advantage into tense resource puzzles. It's fragile soldiers versus overwhelming numbers, demanding tactical patience over reflexes.
