Conarium is a first-person horror exploration game set in an abandoned Antarctic research station. You wake as Frank Gilman with no memory of how you got to Upuaut base near the South Pole. The facility is empty, and a strange device on the table pulses with light. Through environmental clues and found notes, you piece together what happened: you and three other scientists used an experimental apparatus meant to push human consciousness past its natural limits. Something went catastrophically wrong. You died, then came back—but different, with fragments of alien memories. Gameplay involves exploring the base's rooms and labs, solving light puzzles to access new areas, and experiencing surreal vision sequences that hint at what lies beyond normal perception. Occasionally you'll need to hide from or avoid hostile entities. The story draws from Lovecraft's Antarctic fiction but tells its own tale of scientific hubris. Suits players after atmospheric horror where dread comes from unanswered questions rather than constant threats.
