Costume Quest is a turn-based RPG where you trick-or-treat through suburban streets, a carnival, and a mall while fighting monsters in homemade costumes. You pick one of two bickering twins—the other gets kidnapped by creatures hunting for candy. Going door-to-door nets you candy, battle stamps, and quest items. Combat shifts perspective: your kid transforms into a giant version of their costume with unique powers. A robot suit might launch missiles; other outfits grant different abilities. You'll recruit neighborhood friends, each wearing their own costume with distinct combat skills. The hook is costume-switching—you're constantly swapping outfits to solve environmental puzzles and exploit enemy weaknesses in fights. It's lighthearted but doesn't talk down to you. Good fit if you want a short RPG (10-12 hours) with charm over complexity.
