A top-down shooter where you navigate randomly generated basement floors as Isaac, a kid fleeing his mother's knife. Each run drops you into procedurally built dungeons filled with grotesque enemies—think flies, tumors, and worse. You fire tears as your weapon, collecting power-ups that morph Isaac's body and abilities: extra heads, laser eyes, explosive shots. Death is permanent; each attempt starts fresh with new room layouts and item combinations. The biblical setup is dark—mom hears voices demanding sacrifice—but gameplay focuses on mastering bullet patterns and synergizing bizarre pickups. Runs last 30-60 minutes if you survive. Unlocks stack across deaths, gradually expanding the item pool. It's grim, weird, and built for players who don't mind failing repeatedly to learn enemy tells and optimal builds.
