Deadlock Station is a tactical rogue-like where you don't directly control your squad. Instead, you plan moves and watch your team execute them against alien invaders. You'll build a squad from available units, each with distinct abilities, then position and command them through encounters that demand you think several steps ahead. The indirect control system means success hinges on reading enemy patterns and setting up your units to capitalize on positioning. Between runs, you'll piece together what happened during the Event—a catastrophe that wiped out humanity. The structure follows the rogue-like loop: fail, learn enemy behaviors, adjust your squad composition, try again with better tactics. If you like puzzle-like combat where you're the architect rather than the executioner, this delivers that specific angle on squad tactics.
