Dr. Mario 64 is a puzzle game where you clear viruses by matching colored capsules. You drop two-segment pills into a bottle, rotating them to line up three or four matching colors—horizontally or vertically—to eliminate viruses and capsule fragments. The story mode has Dr. Mario and Wario chasing thieves who've stolen the Megavitamins, but the core is still tile-matching under pressure. You can play solo against AI or compete in local multiplayer. Difficulty ramps up as viruses multiply and the bottle fills faster. It's the N64 take on the classic formula: same rotating-capsule logic, now with 3D visuals and a light narrative wrapper. If you liked the Game Boy version or any falling-block puzzler, this delivers that same methodical color-matching with a Mario coat of paint.
