Dreamfall is a third-person adventure game following three characters across parallel worlds. You play as Zoë, a 20-year-old investigating her friend's disappearance in 2219—a decade after a global tech collapse. The story weaves between a renewed Earth and a magical realm called Arcadia. Gameplay mixes exploration, dialogue trees, environmental puzzles, and occasional stealth sequences. You'll switch perspectives between Zoë and two other protagonists whose paths converge around a conspiracy tied to Zoë's recurring visions. Combat exists but stays minimal—most challenges involve talking to NPCs, piecing together clues, and navigating branching conversations. The structure leans heavily on cutscenes and narrative beats. If you want puzzles that demand inventory juggling, this isn't that. It's for players who'll sit through slower pacing for character-driven sci-fi/fantasy crossover plotting.
