Dredge
Dredge is a fishing RPG with horror undertones. You captain a small boat, catching fish to sell for ship upgrades while exploring a cluster of unsettling islands. The core loop: fish during the day, dock to sell your haul, use profits for better nets or engine parts, then venture farther out. At night, waters grow dangerous—something's out there beyond normal marine life. Locals offer quests that point toward submerged relics and fragmented backstory about what happened to these islands. The dredging mechanic lets you pull up artifacts from specific seabed locations, slowly piecing together why this place feels wrong. Upgrades unlock deeper waters and stranger catches. It's methodical rather than action-heavy, leaning on atmosphere and the tension of pushing your luck one more cast before heading back to port. Works if you like slow-burn mysteries wrapped in resource management.
