Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest
Turn-based RPG where you recover four stolen elemental crystals to restore balance to a collapsing world. You play as Benjamin, a village survivor tasked with tracking down the monsters who've seized Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind crystals—plus the keys to Focus Tower, the structure holding everything together. Combat uses an active-time system with visible enemies (no random encounters). You'll solve environmental puzzles tied to each element, unlock new party members as the story progresses, and upgrade weapons at forges between dungeons. The structure is linear: clear a region, claim its crystal, move to the next. Final showdown happens inside Focus Tower once you've reassembled all four keys. Designed as an accessible entry point for players new to the genre, with streamlined menus and a shorter runtime than most RPGs of its era.
