Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium is a turn-based tactical RPG and the direct sequel to the mobile original, now available on PC and mobile. You command squads of Tactical Dolls—humanoid androids—through grid-based combat in contamination zones, a ravaged setting where factions have collapsed and new powers are rising. Between missions you collect and upgrade your roster of Dolls, each with distinct abilities and backstories. The campaign follows a Commander who's gone independent, taking bounty work in hazardous territories until a routine transport job goes sideways and pulls them into a broader conflict. Combat emphasizes positioning and unit synergies over raw stats. The game uses a cel-shaded art style built on physically-based rendering tech, giving characters a hand-drawn look with realistic lighting. If you want XCOM-style tactics with anime aesthetics and a roster to build, this delivers both.
