About

Golf is a straightforward NES sports sim where you work a ball across 18 holes using various clubs. Each course layout appears on a right-side map showing hazards and the target green. You select clubs with the d-pad—drivers for distance, irons for precision, putters for the final roll. Scoring follows real golf: fewer strokes per hole nets more points. Terrain includes sand traps, water, and rough that affect ball behavior. The golfer's sprite (officially Mario in a polo shirt, though the game never states this) swings in a simple two-button timing system. No frills, no story—just you, the course, and par counts. Works if you want uncomplicated golf mechanics without modern swing meters or career modes.
