Guitar Hero II

Guitar Hero II is a rhythm game where you play along to rock tracks using a guitar-shaped controller. Hit colored notes as they scroll down the screen in time with the music. Career mode lets you unlock songs and venues as you progress through setlists of increasing difficulty. Quickplay gives you immediate access to any track you've opened up. Multiplayer supports both cooperative jamming and head-to-head competition. The controller has five fret buttons and a strum bar—you press the right fret and strum when each note reaches the target zone. Miss too many and you'll fail the song. It's built for players who want to feel like they're performing, not just listening.
