Halo 4

First-person shooter where you play as Master Chief, a super-soldier stranded on Requiem, a planet built by an ancient civilization called the Forerunners. You'll fight two enemy factions: the returning Covenant aliens and new Promethean forces—robotic constructs left behind by Requiem's creators. Combat mixes familiar gunplay with new weapons that disintegrate foes or spawn turrets. The campaign supports four-player split-screen co-op. Beyond the story, there's traditional competitive multiplayer and Spartan Ops, a separate mode with episodic missions designed for team play. If you want space marines, alien tech, and a mystery planet to shoot your way across, this delivers that setup without requiring knowledge of prior entries.
