It Takes Two is a co-op platform-adventure built around asymmetric puzzles and constantly shifting mechanics. You and a partner play as Cody and May, a couple transformed into dolls navigating their oversized house and yard. Each level introduces new abilities—one player might wield a hammer while the other throws nails, or you're controlling magnets with opposite polarities. The game forces collaboration: puzzles require both players using their unique tools simultaneously. Expect boss fights, minigames, and genre detours (third-person shooting, side-scrolling, even rail-grinding sections). The story frames this as relationship therapy via magical intervention. Only one person needs to own the game; the second plays free via Friend's Pass. Best for players who can commit to the full campaign together, as there's no single-player mode.
