Kamiko

Kamiko is a top-down action game where you play as one of three shrine maidens fighting demons across compact stages. Each level has multiple sealed Torii gates—you'll need to defeat enemies, solve environmental puzzles, and find the right sequence to break every seal before facing the stage boss. Combat is fast and arcade-style, with each priestess wielding a different weapon that changes how you approach fights. Stages are short but dense, designed for quick runs once you know the layout. The aesthetic draws from Shinto imagery: shrines, gates, and demon designs rooted in Japanese folklore. It's straightforward—no sprawling maps or complex systems, just tight action-puzzle loops you can clear in a sitting.
