Kirby's Dream Land 2 is a side-scrolling platformer where you hop across seven islands to restore vanished Rainbow Bridges. You inhale enemies to copy their powers—standard Kirby fare—but this time you team up with three animal companions. Rick the hamster helps you grip icy floors, Kine the fish lets you move underwater without floating helplessly, and Coo the owl carries you through windy sections. Each animal changes how your copied abilities work, so Fire Breath as Kine shoots in a different pattern than Fire Breath as Coo. You're chasing down King Dedede's troops and hunting for a Rainbow Sword that unlocks the true final boss, Dark Matter. The animal gimmick adds light puzzle-solving—certain paths only open if you've got the right partner. Fits anyone who liked the first Dream Land but wanted more variety in movement.
