Turn-based RPG set in an abandoned Welsh monastery in 1898. Three strangers converge on Nemeton—a former prison for heretics—and uncover its violent past through exploration and combat. Battles play out on a grid where positioning matters: characters move tactically before executing attacks, magic, or item use. The story splits across multiple threads: the monastery's history as a torture site, the ghost of Charlotte (a girl executed without explanation), and one protagonist's connection to a shipwreck tragedy. Expect survival-horror atmosphere—limited resources, oppressive corridors—mixed with RPG progression. Voice acting and pre-rendered cutscenes were unusual for 1999 PSX titles. Combat's slower pace won't suit everyone, but the gothic setting and interwoven narratives distinguish it from typical fantasy fare.
