Lock 'n' Chase

Lock 'n' Chase is an arcade maze game where you play a thief collecting coins and treasures inside a vault while dodging four policemen called Super D. The twist: you can temporarily close doors in the maze to trap your pursuers, though only two doors stay shut at once. Each cop has different behavior patterns—Stiffy, Scaredy, Smarty, and Silly—forcing you to adapt tactics on the fly. It's a 1981 Data East release built around split-second decisions: when to grab loot, when to seal a corridor, when to bail. The maze layout stays constant, so success comes from learning patrol routes and timing your door closures. Short rounds make it easy to squeeze in a quick game.
