Maid of Sker is a first-person survival horror set in an isolated Welsh hotel in 1892. You're Thomas Evans, a musician trying to rescue someone from a building stalked by the Quiet Men—enemies who hunt by sound alone. There are no weapons. Your survival depends on managing noise: hide behind furniture, tiptoe past patrols, set traps as distractions, and when cornered, hold your breath until they pass. The game uses 3D audio to track threats, so you'll hear them before you see them. As levels progress, enemies grow more sensitive to sound, forcing you into situations where staying motionless and controlling your breathing becomes the only way forward. Exhale too soon and you're caught. The story branches based on choices you make, leading to multiple endings. It's built around Welsh folklore and exploration rather than combat.
