Mega Man V

Side-scrolling action platformer where Mega Man fights alien robots called Stardroids invading Earth. You run, jump, and shoot through stages, but this entry replaces the standard Mega Buster with the Mega Arm—a charged punch weapon that fires energy fists. Each defeated Stardroid boss grants you their weapon. Collect P Chips during levels to trade for power-up items at Dr. Light's lab. You get a cat companion named Tango who helps in combat. Unlike earlier Game Boy Mega Man entries that reused NES bosses, this one features entirely original Stardroid enemies. Eight main stages plus additional content. The alien material gimmick means your old weapons won't work, forcing reliance on the new arm cannon from the start.
