Miasmata

First-person survival game where you're a scientist with the plague, stuck on an island trying to cure yourself. You'll gather plants to synthesize medicines, map the terrain by triangulating landmarks, and manage symptoms that affect your movement and vision. The core loop: explore unfamiliar ground, catalog flora, return to a lab to experiment, then push farther out. No UI compass or waypoints—you navigate by observing the environment and updating a hand-drawn map. The island itself is the puzzle. Stamina, hydration, and disease progression create constant tension. If methodical exploration and DIY cartography sound tedious, this won't click. If they sound meditative, you might get hooked.
