Mission Critical is a first-person graphic adventure set in 2134. Humanity's split into two factions—the Alliance and the UN—locked in a 50-year war over technology restrictions. You're aboard the USS Lexington, sent to investigate an alien artifact on Persephone that might tip the scales. Before you reach it, a UN ambush forces your captain to sacrifice nearly the entire crew destroying the enemy cruiser. You wake up alone on a crippled ship. The game involves exploring the Lexington's compartments, solving puzzles to restore systems, and piecing together what happened while you were out. Your goal: survive, reach Persephone, and secure the artifact before the UN does. Expect reading logs, manipulating ship controls, and making decisions that affect whether the Alliance gets its war-turning advantage.
