MotorStorm is an off-road racer where you pick from seven vehicle classes—dirt bikes, ATVs, buggies, rally cars, racing trucks, mud pluggers, and big rigs—then smash through opponents on courses that physically degrade lap by lap. The terrain deforms as vehicles tear through it: mud deepens, ruts form, and optimal racing lines shift. Debris and dirt cling to your vehicle's bodywork. Contact is encouraged. Ram rivals off cliffs, into rocks, or under your wheels. Wrecks trigger cinematic crash cams. AI drivers behave aggressively—they'll block, taunt, and retaliate. Multiplayer supports online races with voice chat. Each vehicle class handles differently: bikes are fast but fragile, big rigs bulldoze everything but corner like cargo ships. You're racing for position while managing which parts of the track haven't been chewed into impassable trenches yet.
