NHL 17 is an ice hockey sim built around zone control and physical play. You pick a mode—Draft Champions lets you build a team from scratch, World Cup of Hockey runs international tournaments, or Hockey League where you customize a squad long-term—then hit the rink. Goalie AI got an overhaul so they track plays better. Net Battles add scrums for positioning near the crease, both when you're trying to score and when you're defending. Collision Physics means checks feel heavier. After goals, you pick from a bunch of new celebrations. The Hockey League mode has more customization options than before for jerseys, rosters, and tactics. If you want arcade-style hockey with updated rosters from 2016 and some new ways to build teams, this delivers that.
