Turn-based JRPG where high schoolers in Sumaru City fight demons using Personas—personified aspects of their own personalities. You control Tatsuya Suou and his friends as they track down the Joker, a villain whose presence causes rumors to warp reality across town. Combat follows classic turn-based rules: deploy Personas against demon enemies, manage party composition, exploit weaknesses. The Rumor system is the hook—spread specific gossip around the city and watch it reshape events in your favor, opening paths or altering encounters. Originally released in Japan in 1999, this PSP version marks its first official English localization. Expect dungeon crawling, demon negotiation, and a story that leans into urban legends and psychological themes. Fits fans of menu-driven RPGs who want narrative weight alongside their grinding.
