About
Pokémon Go is a location-based mobile game that overlays Pokémon creatures onto real-world locations using your phone's GPS and camera. You walk around your actual neighborhood, parks, and landmarks to find wild Pokémon that appear on your screen as if they're standing right in front of you. Tap to throw Pokéballs and catch them. PokéStops at real locations give you items. Gyms let you battle other players' Pokémon for control of territory. The game tracks distance walked to hatch eggs and earn candy for powering up your catches. Raids bring players together at specific times to fight powerful Pokémon. It's built around getting outside and moving, turning errands and walks into hunting sessions.
