Pokémon Stadium 2

Pokémon Stadium 2 is a battle-focused spinoff where you pick teams of six from 250 Pokémon—including legendaries—and fight through tournament brackets. Four cups await in the Stadium mode, most running four rounds of eight battles each. You'll also tackle Gym Leader Castle, a gauntlet mirroring the handheld games' structure. Beat everything and your Rival shows up for a final test. Clearing that unlocks Round 2, which forces you to re-clear Stadium, Castle, and Rival with tougher AI and different opposing teams. It's structured progression rather than open exploration: win cups, unlock next challenge, repeat at higher difficulty. The roster's broad enough that team-building matters, but you're here to battle, not catch or explore.
