Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Third-person action-platformer where you're a prince who accidentally unleashes a curse that transforms a palace's inhabitants into sand monsters. You've got a dagger that rewinds time in short bursts—dodge a blade trap, rewind if it hits, try again. Combat mixes acrobatic wall-runs and vaulting with swordplay against corrupted enemies. You're racing to undo the catastrophe alongside a captive princess who doesn't trust you (and vice versa). The palace is a vertical maze of spike pits, rotating blades, and crumbling ledges demanding precise jumps and timing. Time manipulation extends beyond combat: slow a mechanism to slip through, or speed up a door's descent. The story unfolds as a confession—the prince narrating his mistake to someone offscreen. Parkour fans who don't mind trial-and-error traversal will find the rhythm satisfying once movement clicks.
