Rain World is a survival platformer where you play a slugcat navigating abandoned industrial ruins between deadly rain cycles. The ecosystem's shattered—most creatures hibernate until brief dry windows, then emerge hunting. You're both predator and prey: spear small creatures for food to survive the next hibernation, but larger things want you for dinner. Each cycle demands reaching shelter before the rain returns, or you're crushed. The environment itself is hostile, with collapsing structures and limited safe routes. Death comes frequently from miscalculation, ambush, or simply bad timing. Procedural creature AI means predators don't follow scripts—they adapt, remember, and coordinate. Success requires learning patrol patterns, rationing kills, and accepting that some cycles you'll barely scrape through. It's unforgiving by design.
