Rakuen is a story-driven adventure where you play as a hospitalized boy who convinces his mom to take him into a fantasy world from his storybook. To earn a wish from the Guardian of the Forest, you complete tasks that require helping fellow hospital patients by entering their fantasy alter-egos' lives. Each patient harbors unresolved pain—a man guarding a music box who never gets visitors, a comatose woman whose husband won't leave, a girl mourning a friend she couldn't say goodbye to. You'll alternate between the hospital's quiet halls and a parallel fantasy realm, piecing together how each patient's real-world grief connects to their imagined counterpart. The gameplay centers on exploration, dialogue, and light puzzle-solving as you uncover what ties these strangers to the hospital itself. It's brief and earnest, built for players who don't mind slow pacing if the emotional payoff lands.
