S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
First-person survival shooter set in Chernobyl's Exclusion Zone after a military operation goes wrong. You're a Ukrainian Security Service agent investigating why multiple helicopters crashed during a government push toward the Zone's center. The game drops you into Pripyat and surrounding areas where you'll scavenge gear, manage radiation exposure, and navigate anomalies—localized physics distortions that can kill instantly. Combat mixes human enemies with mutated creatures. You'll take contracts from various factions, upgrade weapons at makeshift workshops, and piece together what caused the military disaster. The Zone operates on a day-night cycle with dynamic weather affecting visibility and enemy behavior. No hand-holding: you track objectives via PDA messages and environmental clues. Survival hinges on maintaining your suit's condition, rationing supplies, and knowing when a firefight isn't worth the ammunition.
