Serious Sam: Next Encounter

Serious Sam: Next Encounter is a first-person shooter where you chase a rogue clone called Mini Sam through historical periods he's erasing via time manipulation. You'll fight through 40+ levels set in Ancient Rome, Feudal China, and Atlantis, blasting hordes of enemies with the series' trademark arsenal. The campaign supports two-player co-op, letting you tackle Mental's armies together. Multiplayer includes Deathmatch and Hold the Flag modes—8 players online on PS2, 4-player local split-screen on GameCube. It's straightforward run-and-gun chaos across different eras, built around clearing waves of enemies rather than tactical positioning. Expect large enemy counts, constant forward momentum, and minimal downtime between firefights.
