Serious Sam's Bogus Detour is a top-down shooter that trades the series' first-person perspective for twin-stick mayhem. You mow down alien hordes across Mediterranean towns, weapons labs, and moon bases, either solo or with three other players online. The core loop stays familiar—circle-strafe massive enemy waves, grab power-ups, don't stop moving—but the camera shift changes how encounters play out. Four-player co-op scales enemy counts for coordinated chaos. Beyond the campaign, there's wave-based Survival and competitive Versus modes. A built-in editor lets you build custom levels, game modes, or overhaul mechanics entirely. Crackshell (Hammerwatch) developed it, so expect tight controls and readable combat despite the screen-filling carnage. If you've wanted Serious Sam's scale and speed from a new angle, this delivers that.
