SoulCalibur III

Soulcalibur III is a weapon-based 3D fighter where you pick from a roster of 24 characters in the story-driven Tales of Souls mode, plus 18 more available in other modes. Combat revolves around eight-way movement and weapon clashes—each fighter wields a distinct weapon type, from swords to axes to staffs. The game adds three modes beyond standard versus matches, expanding how you engage with the roster. Fights play out in arenas where positioning and weapon reach matter as much as combo execution. If you want a fighter with more single-player structure than most arcade ports offer, the expanded modes give you reasons to keep playing beyond versus matches.
