You still clear descending grids of aliens, but now power-ups shift your weapon mid-wave—spread shots, lasers, shields—and chaining specific enemy types triggers score multipliers. Stages pulse to electronic tracks that speed up as you clear rows. Between standard levels, bonus rounds test pattern recognition under time pressure. The core loop stays recognizable: move horizontally, fire upward, dodge return fire. What changes is the tempo and visual feedback—each hit feeds into the soundtrack, turning cleanup into a beat-matched reflex test.
