SSX is an arcade snowboarding game built around exaggerated air, trick combos, and racing down stylized mountain courses. You pick a boarder and compete across events—some focused on speed, others on racking up trick points. Medals unlock new courses, characters, and boards while upgrading your rider's stats. Each character has a trick book: land specific moves during runs to earn alternate outfits. Three board types shift how you ride: Freestyle boards emphasize tricks, Alpine boards prioritize speed (and can't be ridden backward), and BX boards split the difference. Courses span global locations, and the international roster speaks their native languages. It's approachable enough for quick sessions but rewards learning each mountain's jump lines and grind rails.
