Sword Coast Legends is a party-based RPG set in the Forgotten Realms, built around two modes. The single-player campaign follows a scripted story through Faerûn with a party of characters you control. The standout feature was DM Mode, where one player acted as dungeon master for up to four others, placing enemies and loot in real-time during custom adventures—closer to tabletop D&D than most CRPGs manage. That multiplayer functionality went offline in 2018, so DM Mode and co-op are no longer available. What remains is the solo campaign, playable offline. If you wanted a digital version of running a D&D session, this tried to deliver that, but the servers shutting down removed half the game's purpose. Now it's a standard single-player dungeon crawler in a Wizards of the Coast-licensed setting.
