Tenchu: Shadow Assassins
Stealth-action game where you play as one of two ninjas—Rikimaru or Ayame—completing assassination contracts in feudal Japan. Motion controls handle sword strikes, quick movement, and silent kills as you pick between Rikimaru's patient approach or Ayame's faster, riskier style. The campaign spans ten-plus story missions with fifty additional side contracts. Levels are built around hiding spots, patrol routes, and environmental kills rather than direct combat. You'll track targets, avoid detection, and execute them without raising alarms. The plot centers on the two ninjas navigating clan politics, betrayals, and shifting allegiances between missions. Designed for the Wii Remote's gesture inputs—swing to slash, flick to throw kunai. If you prefer methodical planning over reflex shooting, this leans hard into patience and positioning.
