About

Tex Murphy: Mean Streets is a point-and-click detective adventure set in 2033 San Francisco. You're hired by a professor's daughter to investigate her father's suspicious death, which connects to a string of murders targeting prominent scientists. The game mixes traditional adventure gameplay—examining locations, gathering clues, interrogating suspects—with first-person flying sequences between destinations in your speeder. You'll question a rotating cast including a former British intelligence chief, a surveillance company president, and the victim's own daughter, any of whom might be lying. The noir setup leans into classic whodunit structure: multiple suspects, conflicting motives, and a conspiracy that gets messier the deeper you dig. It's detective work without handholding, so expect dead ends and note-taking.
