The End Is Nigh is a platformer where you control Ash, a blob-like survivor navigating a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The game spans multiple interconnected areas filled with hazards, decaying creatures, and environmental traps. Movement is flopping-based—Ash can't run smoothly, which makes precise jumps and timing critical. Each screen presents a self-contained challenge: spikes, crumbling platforms, mutant enemies. The overarching goal is collecting tumors (yes, tumors) scattered across levels to eventually build a companion. Death is frequent and instant-restart, so you'll replay sections until muscle memory takes over. Expect tough but fair obstacle courses with a bleak, monochrome aesthetic. If you liked tough-as-nails precision platforming with dark humor, this delivers that without hand-holding.
