The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel

A turn-based RPG where you control Rean Schwarzer and eight classmates at Thors Military Academy, set in the Erebonian Empire during escalating tensions between nobility and commoners. Class VII is the academy's first group mixing social ranks, throwing together nobles and commoners who'd normally never share a classroom. Combat uses the Tactical Link System—you pair characters to trigger follow-up attacks when conditions are met, dealing extra damage or healing partners. As characters fight together, their Link Levels increase, unlocking new cooperative abilities like CP boosts or emergency heals. The story centers on how this mixed-class group navigates both academy life and the empire's widening political divide.
