The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Open-world action-adventure where you explore Hyrule on foot, horseback, or glider after waking from a century-long sleep. You're tasked with stopping Calamity Ganon, a force contained in the castle but growing stronger. The hook: tackle objectives in any order. Want to rush the final boss immediately? You can try. Prefer gathering gear first? Also valid. Combat relies on scavenged weapons that break after use, plus four rune abilities—magnesis for metal objects, bombs, ice pillars, and time-stop. Weather matters: lightning strikes metal gear during storms, cold requires warm clothes or cooked food. Shrines scattered across the map offer puzzle rooms that reward stamina or health upgrades. Four divine beast dungeons exist but aren't mandatory. Cooking combines foraged ingredients for buffs. Suits players who'd rather set their own path than follow waypoints.
