The Mysterious Murasame Castle

Top-down action game where you control Takamaru, a samurai apprentice, through feudal Japan. Your mission: infiltrate four castles where corrupted lords wield dark spheres that let them summon ninja armies and monsters. Combat relies on sword strikes for close range and shuriken for distance attacks as you fight through swarms of enemies. Each castle must be cleared before you can reach Murasame Castle and confront the source of the corruption. The game uses a room-by-room structure—enter, clear enemies, move forward.
