Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear
Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear is a tactical squad shooter where you plan and execute counter-terrorism operations across post-Soviet chaos. You're commanding Rainbow, an international anti-terror unit dealing with Russian mafia arms deals and worse. Before each mission, you plot entry points, waypoints, and rules of engagement for multiple fireteams on overhead maps. Then you execute, switching between operatives or watching the plan unfold. Missions involve hostage rescue, bomb defusal, and stopping weapons trafficking—often plutonium changing hands. One stray bullet can kill your specialists permanently, so pre-mission planning matters. Firefights are brief and lethal. The campaign threads through Eastern European instability, tracking military hardware leaking into criminal networks. It's methodical rather than run-and-gun: study blueprints, assign gear, coordinate breaches, adapt when contact goes loud.
